| In November 2008, I traveled to Australia to take part in a residency located about 5 hours north of Sydney. The residency afforded me accommodation and studio space in an idyllic rural location on 'Coomba Road' positioned on the edge of Wallis Lake in the great lakes region of New South Wales. In the early morning I would awake to see herds of wild kangaroo grazing in the fields surrounding the residency. The Coomba Road drawings were produced during my sojourn and influenced by the sense of place. |
